The Scholastic Awards National Events are three days in New York City for the National Gold Medalists. From the annual Maker Prom at the historic Roosevelt Hotel to the National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall, these celebrations honor students for their accomplishments.
The goals for Instagram during these events were to both engage the NYC audience and to include the audience that wasn't physically present. In previous years, social media showcased the students that were able to attend. By making more digital content such as interactive polls, surveys, and gifs, everyone was welcome to participate in and follow the 2019 festivities. All students were able to post about their achievements on their own profiles and were celebrated on the Scholastic Awards' Instagram through reposts.
